Story
Heartbreakingly, Zoe passed away on 25th February 2024, after having been diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) in January. This is a fatal brain condition that cruelly affects one in a million people in the UK every year. It is a rapid early onset of aggressive dementia.
Zoe was the most caring, kind, thoughtful and selfless soul. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to many, who will be dearly missed by all.
Zoe will be laid to rest on Monday 11th March at Seven Hills Crematorium in Ipswich, at 1.30pm. This will be followed by a gathering for refreshments at Hacheston Village Hall. No flowers please, but donations to this cause would be greatly appreciated. No dress code, just smart.
Please support us to find a cure for Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD). There is currently no cure but every day scientists and doctors are getting closer to finding a treatment. This charity aims to raise funds to support the use of an antibody drug developed for the treatment of patients with CJD. The first patient was treated at UCLH in October 2018.
