One woman in four will experience domestic abuse at some point in her lifetime and on average one woman is killed every 5 days in England and Wales by a current or former partner.

as many of you know, myself and my children experienced the worst kind of abuse for nearly 9 years, I was continually , hit, cohesively controlled, financially, controlled, sexually abused, mentally tortured, my children witnessed this from the ages of 4-10, we lived in a living nightmare.

I was belittled on a daily basis, laughed at punched to which I’d lie to my family and also try to hide as much as I could from my babies and friends.

I was repeatedly cut off from people who tried to help me or knew what was happening.

For years I tried to leave but always went back, trauma bonds are real and when your told that I would be nothing without him I believed it for a while.

One day I hit rock bottom and made a choice that could’ve impacteded my children and family. I just didn’t want to be here anymore,

And that’s where life changed I knew that this wasn’t going to be our lives anymore, I always knew I’d go one day and we did.

I met Rory and he changed my life, he saved me.

He build the broken bits until I was whole again.

I’m doing this for the women that think they can’t get out.

I’ll always believe that if I can you can, there’s a better life you just have to believe in your strength.
