Join Me in Empowering Women through Free to Run at the Berlin Marathon 2024!
Hello everyone!
I am thrilled to announce that I'll be taking on the challenge of the Berlin Marathon this September, and I'm not just running for personal achievement - I'm running for a cause close to my heart.
My name is Zoe, a positive and passionate 28-year-old runner from Switzerland who calls London my home. Running has been my sanctuary, my passion, and my way of life for a few years now. It's not just about the miles for me; it's about the challenge, the resilience, the community, and the sheer joy of pushing my limits.
I recently completed my fourth marathon in a time of 3h04, a testament to the dedication and hard work I've poured into my training. But this journey isn't just about the races; it's about making a meaningful impact beyond the finish line.
For the Berlin Marathon, I've decided to lace up my shoes for a cause that resonates deeply with me: Free to Run. This incredible organisation uses the power of sports to empower and educate women and girls in areas affected by conflict and oppression. By providing safe spaces, mentorship, and opportunities for physical activity, Free to Run is breaking down barriers and enabling women to rewrite their own narratives.
I firmly believe that every woman and girl deserves the chance to run free - both literally and figuratively. And that's why I'm asking for your support. By donating to my fundraising efforts, you'll be directly contributing to Free to Run's mission of empowerment, helping to provide resources and opportunities to those who need it most.
Whether you can spare a few pounds or a few pennies, every contribution makes a difference. Together, we can stride towards a world where all women have the freedom to run towards their dreams.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me on this journey. Let's make every step count!
With gratitude,
Zoe
