Story
A year ago my very close friend lost her 18 year old son, Calum and two of his friends in a road traffic accident just a day after launching his own music label, 'Rum Da Riddim', Calum was passionate about his music.
In memory of Calum I am helping raise money for Brake. We will be riding from Broomfield, where Calum and the boys attended Run Da Riddim's debut Summer day event on this day last year, to Bristol (approx. 25 miles), the home of Drum and Bass, accompanied by some rhythmic DnB music to keep the energy levels high!
Calum was a very keen cyclist and had done many cycling charity events, such at "End to End" (John O'Groats to Land's End) and the London to Brighton.
Brake is a national charity working to prevent road death and injury and support those bereaved and injured in road crashes. There are 5 people die on our roads every day and hundreds more seriously injured. Visit www.brake.org.uk to find out more about our life-saving work.
