Story
Hi, we're Edward and James, Year 9 pupils here at St Michael's,
Our school, St Michael's C of E High School, is on a mission to make a difference in the lives of the young people in Zambia. Zambia is one of the poorest countries in the world, with about 65% of the population living on less than $2 a day. Due to HIV and Covid-19 over 50% of the population is under 15, and so we want to make a difference to the poor young people of Zambia.
As we learned about the poverty and challenges faced by children in this country, we knew we had to take action. That's why we're participating in the Zambia '24 Project, which aims to provide education, meals, and hope for a better future to those who need it most.
We're doing our part by walking from Blackpool Tower to our school on November 18th, 2023 - a total of 30 miles. It's a personal walk that represents our commitment to this cause and our desire to make a real impact. It will be a real challenge and will stretch us to our absolute limit.
But we can't do it alone. We need your help to reach our fundraising goal of £1,000. Every pound counts and will go directly towards supporting these children in need. Together, we can change their lives and give them hope for a brighter future.
Join us in making a difference today by donating generously to the St Michael's C of E High School Zambia '24 Project. Thank you for any potential donations, a contribution of any size would go a long way in helping the young people of Zambia.
All money raised goes directly to support the cause!
Thank You
