When I was first elected, I pledged to give 100% of my first year's Councillor allowance to local charities.

Young carer Emily got in touch with me to tell me about the incredible work that Kingston Young Carers Project do, and I am thrilled to be able to make them my very first Charity of the Month for August 2023, with a donation of £500 plus Gift Aid.

This week, the Young Carers Project are running cooking workshops for carers, where they will make a meal and dessert to take home - supporting them during the Cost of Living Crisis and providing much needed respite from their caring duties.
