Story
My mum sadly passed away last November from melanoma cancer. It happened very quickly, around 10 weeks. Fortunately she was able to stay at home and her family were around her everyday.
The support that we received from St Winfrid's Hospice was incredible. We will always be eternally grateful.
As my mum was Dutch, when I found out about this challenge, it didn't take me long to sign up......despite the fact that I didn't, at that point, even have a bike!
Starting in Eastbourne, our journey will pass along the south coast, across the channel, and then through the cycle-friendly cities and countryside in France, Belgium and Holland, finishing in Amsterdam. We’ll cycle past beaches, along waterways, and treelined canals dotted with windmills.
St Wilfrid's Hospice rely on the support of their community for 70% of their funding. By donating to St Wilfrid's Hospice, they can continue to help local people who need their services through the hospice building or out in the community. Their care and support can continue to be provided to those facing a life-limiting diagnosis, and they can continue to support the wider family through their bereavement services.
Training starts on 31st January, my birthday, so please follow me on Facebook or instagram to follow my progress!
Thank you so much for supporting me and this wonderful hospice.
