Story
Mental health charity Youth Talk has been providing 13 - 25 year olds in the St Albans District with free confidential one-to-one counselling support for 25 years.
According to the British Medical Journal:
“A generation of children and young people are at risk of being left behind because of a combination of soaring waiting times for health services and the pandemic’s disproportionate impact on their mental health … the impact of covid-19 has led to an unprecedented increase in demand for mental health services for children and young people in England, most notably for eating disorders.”
Right now 100 young people are waiting for Youth Talk's help.
The charity has secured a larger home in central St Albans which will enable them to provide free counselling to more than double the number possible at present.
Thank you for your support.
