Story

Thanks for taking the time to reflect on the life of Leancha and the great care she received in The Northern Ireland Hospice.

As a staff team, we were honoured to be invited to spend some time with Leancha at the Hospice. For all of us present that day, it was a deeply sacred and spiritual moment to spend time with Leancha and Christopher and their families. As we walked into the building, the hospitality and welcome was overwhelming and great sense of peace and serenity. They treated Leancha with so much care and dignity in her last moments. The work of the unsung heroes in the Northern Ireland Hospice often goes under the radar. This is an opportunity for Youth workers to acknowledge the work of others in the helping professions. Leancha helped so many in her profession as a youth worker and would love to keep this going for others.
