Story
Get ready to brace yourselves as a fearless team, comprised of Hannah (Rec Youth Worker), Sarah (Sports Youth Worker), Megan (The Base Youth Worker), Sophie (Volunteer), and Charlotte (Marketing and Communications Manager), embarks on the daring ' Red Ice Bin Challenge'! Their mission? To raise crucial funds for the Paint the Borough Red Campaign by submerging themselves in an icy Red Bin while enduring the playful torment of young people throughout the Fundraiser.
Now, the burning question is: Who do you believe has the stamina to endure the longest in this icy trial of willpower?!
Over the last four years, thanks to external funding received from Children In Need, we've had the privilege of successfully running our vital Mentoring service. This program has provided essential assistance to more than 156 youths and their families. Our mentoring approach proves invaluable for young individuals who require additional support in enhancing their social aptitude, managing their emotions, or seeking guidance about the challenges of growing up.
Through the dedication of 99 volunteer mentors, we've facilitated an impressive tally of 2125 dynamic and captivating sessions.
Regrettably, the funding sustaining our mentoring endeavour is drawing to a close. We're currently in search of means to secure the continuity of this crucial service for the young people of Wigan and Leigh.
