We support persecuted Christians to survive in places of extreme hostility

Story

The Youth Groups of St Mark's Colney Heath and St Helen’s Wheathampstead have joined together to participate a special challenge. We are choosing to lose our beds for a few nights to raise money and pray for Christians around the world who are being forced to leave their beds – and their homes, schools, jobs, livelihoods and communities – simply because of their faith in Jesus.

Around the world courageous people are choosing to follow Jesus, knowing that in doing so, they will lose. Their choice might mean loss of family, friends, home, income and security. And for some there is a greater cost - the loss of freedom, or even their life.

In 2023, 278,716 Christians who were forced to flee or go into hiding. In Nigeria, Christians are regularly leaving behind their homes and villages due to violence and targeted attacks.

In choosing to lose our beds, for two nights, we want to raise money and prayer to support those who are giving it all to keep following Jesus.

Please sponsor us and support them!
