📢***UPDATE***📢
We did it! We went further and faster! Our team covered 31.5 miles in under our target time. Great pride in the team for helping to achieve this amazing feat.
But what's even more amazing is that our efforts have so far raised a significant total for Hospiscare and the cash raised will help to fund a bed in an inpatient ward at Searle House for up to 2 weeks. This is the impact you have had. Thank you for supporting us in this cause!

Dear Friends,
As some of you know, Natalie Haworth's journey with us came to a close far too soon at the age of 44.
In her final weeks, Exeter Hospiscare provided unparalleled support and care, not just to Natalie, but to also to us as a family. Now, it's our turn to give back.
In honour of Natalie's memory and the extraordinary care she received, myself and a cadre of friends are embarking on a 30-mile "Yomp" across the breathtaking landscapes of Dartmoor in under 8.5 hours, carrying a minimum of 21lbs.
This challenge symbolizes two things dear to Natalie: her profound love for nature specifically Dartmoor and the reminder the presence of our loved ones is a time-limited and precious gift.
On May 18th, we will push ourselves to the limit, just as she did with unwavering fortitude and mental strength. Together, we'll not only trek through the rugged terrain but also reflect on the impact Natalie had on our friends and families.
Our mission extends beyond the physical challenge. Through this endeavour, we aim to raise awareness of the remarkable work done by end-of-life care teams, like those at Exeter Hospicecare, who provide comfort, dignity, and support to individuals and families facing the daunting reality of cancer.
We invite you to join us in honouring Natalie's memory by contributing to our JustGiving page. Your generous donations will directly support Exeter Hospiscare, ensuring that others facing similar journeys receive the same compassionate care that meant so much to us. Our intervention is timely- Devon Hospicecare is facing an unprecedented £ 2.5 million cut to its services https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-67568150.
Our funds will raise a mere fraction of the total needed; we hope to inspire others to achieve the same in the hope we can deliver much needed care for others.
Together, let's celebrate Natalie's life, her resilience, and her enduring spirit. Thank you for your love, support, and generosity.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Team Yompers
