Story

I'm Sue Roberts, the Founder of Young Minds Matter and I'm running the Tempo Events Stratford-upon-Avon 10k on Sunday 29th September 2024 along with my youngest daughter Lily. My eldest daughter Ella is running the half marathon at the same event. Ella was due to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April this year on behalf of YMM but unfortunately she sustained an injury whilst training but she pledged at the time to make up for it by running a half marathon when she was fit again! Hence the combined Family Roberts effort for YMM.....

We'll be running with some kind friends from Procure4 in Leamington (Young Minds Matter is their 2024 Charity of the Year) and some other nice friends we have persuaded to join us!

We'd be very grateful for any donations and/or support on the day at Stratford-upon-Avon Recreation Ground or en-route anywhere!

Young Minds Matter is a Stratford-upon-Avon based mental health charity supporting young people. We provide trained mentors free of charge in local primary and secondary schools to support students on a 1:1 basis and we host fund raising events involving young people to raise awareness of mental health and to empower young people, building resilience, self-esteem and focus.
