Story
YMCA Brighton have been preventing homelessness for over 150 years - let's continue this.
In Brighton it’s hard to walk down the street without seeing someone who’s homeless, with one in 78 people being homeless in Brighton. 80% of homeless people report a mental health issue, this combined with physical ill-health creates a desolate situation.
At YMCA Brighton, we know that providing a roof over someone's head is not enough. We provide accommodation and work and learning services to prevent the revolving door of homelessness; empowering people to achieve their goals.
With this in mind, we have a wonderful team of runners, made up of staff and external volunteers who want to run for us! Wish our amazing runners the best of luck: Jane, Saffron, Lawrence, Briony, Chris, Jesel and Eva, who are running the Brighton Half Marathon in February to raise money for our residents and clients of YMCA Brighton and EVOLVE.
Our services are only possible due to the generosity of our local community. Any donation, big or small, will help keep YMCA Brighton going for many years to come. Thank you!
