Walk from Hurst Castle to Yeldall Manor, 3 April 2024
The Good Samaritan fund subsidises the treatment for men who cannot otherwise afford to access residential rehabilitation.

Story

We (Dave & John) are doing this out of gratitude to Yeldall Manor because it has given us both the chance to recover from addiction and look to the future.

We starting doing walks together last summer and, on one of those walks, John started talking about how we could turn it into fundraising for Yeldall and help other guys benefit as we had.

We are raising money for their Good Samaritan Fund because I (Dave) wouldn't have been able to come to Yeldall without it.

As Yeldall says, "Funding for drug and alcohol rehabilitation is getting ever-harder to access. That is why Yeldall's Good Samaritan Fund is becoming increasingly important for those who cannot obtain statutory funding and cannot afford to pay their fees privately. The Fund is financed entirely from donations and really can be a lifeline to many who ask for help."

Thank you for supporting us, and enabling more men to access Yeldall's programmes and have the chance of a new life.
