Story
As you may already know, our beautiful little Cobie has a rare genetic condition, tuberous sclerosis complex. When Cobie was diagnosed at 4 months old, our world was shattered. There were so many questions we had about what it was, how does she have it? We spiralled.
TSC is a genetic condition that can lead to growths in various organs of the body, but those most commonly affected are the brain, eyes, heart, kidney, skin and lungs. Common problems from TSC can include epilepsy, autism, learning difficulties and kidney problems. However, the way that TSC impacts on a person’s life can vary considerably.
The Tuberous Sclerosis Association (TSA) is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting people affected by Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC). TSC is a genetic condition that can lead to growths in various organs of the body, but those most commonly affected are the brain, eyes, heart, kidney, skin and lungs. When they cause problems it is mainly because of their size and where they are in the body.
They were on the end of the phone as soon as we felt ready to ask for help. We received our welcome pack that was filled with information and resources that we needed. I want to do be able to help them in some way, not just for Cobie but for everyone effected by TSC.
I've decided to set myself the challenge of walking one million steps in 70 day, starting 1st December. I would really appreciate it if you could donate towards the future of people living with TSC.
Thank you in advanced, no donation too big or small, or even a share would be appreciated
