Story
A close friend of mine is heading out to Egypt to help Gazan refugees, of which there are many. I am fundraising on their behalf.
I'm sure many of you have given money to charities already throughout this most recent crisis, however I can personally vouch for Road To Freedom. The charity has no paid employees, only volunteers and is a small family-run organisation. The small team heading out in March are paying for their own transport and accommodation. They have no overheads. That means that all of your money will be going directly into the hands of Palestinian refugees.
Their aims for this upcoming mission are two-fold:
- Primarily to help Palestinian refugees in Egypt. Donations will be used to provide food, medical assistance and immediate shelter equipment eg tents and waterproof bedding.
- Secondarily to send a lorry full of flour across the border to Rafah, which costs £13,000 in itself.
Any donation, no matter how big or small will have an impact and is much appreciated.
