Story
On Saturday 23rd March we continue our fundraising, taking on North Wales Dragons at Colliers Park. We’re raising money to help 4 year old Louis and his family adapt their family home.
Louis was born with a rare genetic condition called TUBA1A, he has epilepsy and cerebral palsy. He suffers from painful leg spasms and limited mobility, so he relies on a wheelchair.
The family need £40,000 to help them adapt their home. Despite attempts for additional support, they’re unable to secure the necessary funding.
Louis is currently unable to access rooms within the family home, even his own bedroom.
What Louis needs:
➡️ A bedroom on the ground floor which is wheelchair accessible, has enough space for independent play and for his parents to care for him.
➡️ A ground floor wet room to support him receive intimate care and eventually independent self-care in dignity
➡️ Ease of access around the home to his own space and wet room by widening doorways
➡️ Space for his standing frame, wheelchair, hoists, changing tables and physio equipment
Louis loves football, he regularly watches his beloved Wrexham AFC and enjoys listening to music.
Please help Louis have a more accessible home so that he can live a happy and independent life. Any amount big or small will make a real difference. The family would be incredibly thankful for your support.
