Story
As presenting partners for St Richard's Hospice's The Great Waddle of Worcester 2024 art trail, Worcestershire Ambassadors have been saddened to learn of the criminal damage to multiple penguins since the trail launched on Monday 22nd July 2024.
Repairing the penguins costs St Richard's Hospice thousands of pounds taking vital funds away from the important work they do.
Whilst isolated and infrequent issues have occurred with their previous art trails, The Great Waddle of Worcester 2024 has seen multiple penguin sculptures damaged and vandalised - with one even thrown into the River Severn - leaving St Richard's Hospice to cover the repair costs.
We know that the vast majority of those who live, work, learn, visit and do business in Worcester are respectful of the art trail, are enjoying visiting the penguins with friends and family, are proud of our community, and want to support the fantastic work that St Richard's Hospice do.
We have set this fundraising page up so that those who would like to can make a donation to support St Richard's Hospice with the repair costs involved with the trail. Any excess funds will support St Richard's Hospice in their other operations.
Thank you if you choose to donate. We hope you continue to enjoy The Great Waddle of Worcester 2024.
