Story

The Worcester Mountaineering Club will once again be taking on the epic Everest climbing challenge at Redpoint on 24th February, to raise valuable funds for Mountain Rescue England and Wales. And this time we'll be doing it in fancy dress!

Mountain Rescue England and Wales are an indispensable organisation that work hard to keep hikers and climbers, such as ourselves, safe out on the crags and in the hills. Funds for Mountain Rescue go towards the following vital initiatives:

- Ensuring high standards of training and equipment

- Providing training, for searching for and rescuing people in difficulties in mountainous or inhospitable environments

- Co-ordinating the work of its members engaged in larger-scale search and rescue operations

- Ensuring effective links with other rescue services

Please assist our challenge and Mountain Rescue's endeavours with your donations. We thank you for your support!

About the charity

Mountain rescue team members are on call every day, of every month, of every year. Whatever the time, day or night. Whatever the weather. They do it voluntarily. They do it without question. At no cost to the casualty. And it's thanks to your generosity, they can continue saving lives. So thank you.
