Story
On Thursday 8th June Woolwich House will be taking on the challenge of staying silent for 24hours to raise money for the school charity Papyrus! From the moment they wake up until they go to bed Woolwich students will try to remain silent for the whole day (apart from for essential communication in lessons). Who will last for the whole day?!
Please support our students as they take on this challenge and raise awareness and vital funds to shatter the stigma surrounding suicide and reduce the number of people who take their own lives.
PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK.
Every £5 raised can help pay for a life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
