We provide support and fund vital research to make myeloma history

Story

The Coast 2 Coast cyclists are back out on the road again this year on the 31st May 2024, cycling 225 miles from Dumfries back to Aberdeen through stunning Scottish countryside, all in aid of raising money for charity, Myeloma UK who celebrates its 25th anniversary this year also.

Myeloma is a type of bone marrow cancer. Bone marrow is the spongy tissue at the centre of some bones that produces the body's blood cells. A very good friend of mine fell ill and passed away from myeloma years ago and to this date the impact of that tragic event is with me.

Here is a link to a video with some more information - https://www.myeloma.org.uk/library/25-years-of-transforming-lives-together/

Myeloma UK are the only UK charity who solely focus on myeloma and are committed to funding research to help find vital new treatments so patients can live not only longer, but better lives as a result. We have been actively involved in all 10 drugs that are available to patients in 13 differing combinations and use patient involvement from the inception of a drugs trial right through to advocating with the SMC or Nice at government and regulatory level to get the drugs approved for use on the NHS. (We have even this year had approval of a new drug so the video is already out of date!)

Please give generously as all money raised will go directly to the charities, along with employee matching and don't forget to Gift Aid it if you are eligible.

Thank you

Wolfgang
