Story
We are taking part the St Richard's Hospice, £40 challenge - Grow Your Dough!
Together with the other teams taking part, we are hoping to help St Richard's raise £40,000 in their 40th year of providing hospice care!
Worcestershire LitFest & Fringe are holding virtual by-donation workshops & events on Zoom every Monday (7 - 8pm GMT) from October to mid-December, to raise funds for St. Richard's 'Grow Your Dough' challenge.
Nina Lewis is a Director of WLFF and a poet, she has 10 years experience facilitating workshops and knows first-hand St Richard’s Hospice and the wonderful care given. Her Grandma, Betty Parry, was a patient and her Grandpa, Bert Parry, received support from the specialist Community Nursing Team at home.

If the hospice can raise £40,000 in St Richard's 40th year it will allow them to fund two months of specialist care provided to patients in the In-patient Unit.
With your support of our fundraising, they can continue to provide free care so that St Richard’s can always be there for those who need them.
Please help St Richard's Hospice continue to offer free care by raising funds.
Please help us continue to care in uncertain times, supporting more than 1,220 patients, loved ones, carers and the bereaved every day.
We care for adults with illnesses which cannot be cured who have complex needs which cannot be met by other services. These include cancer and neurological, respiratory, cardiac and renal conditions.
We aim to improve patients’ quality of life, helping them to live as fully as they can to the end of their lives, however long that may be. We work with other health-care partners to prevent crisis intervention and hospital admissions where possible.
On 1 May 1984 we accepted our first patient and our service to our communities in Worcestershire has continued unbroken since. Since then St Richard’s has received more than 73,000 referrals for people to access its service for patients, their loved ones, carers and bereaved people.
'With your fundraising and dedicated support, we can continue to provide free care so that St Richard’s can always be here for those who need us.'
