Story

BACK FOR 2024!

After a fantastic response to last year's event, which raised over £15,000 for LATCH, we thought we'd do it all again and hopefully raise even more for this great cause!

On Friday October 11th, ahead of the Unibet Jump Season Opener at Chepstow Racecourse, The Unibet Welsh Jump Jockeys Derby’ is, again, set to be run over the classic distance of 1m4f.

Conor Brace won in 2023, who will win this year?

Betsy Williams, daughter of leading Welsh trainer Christian Williams, and her family have been supported by Latch who do amazing work in helping family members of children affected by cancer or leukaemia in Wales.

LATCH was established forty years ago in 1983 by a group of families and friends who recognised that children diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia and their families not only needed medical support but also practical, emotional and financial support to ease the burden they face.

The charity supports hundreds of children, young people and their families across Wales every year who are being treated at the Paediatric Oncology Unit at the Children’s Hospital for Wales.
