200 Miles for 200 years !

For the RNLI's 200th anniversary The Wirral Lifeguards, are excited to take on an extraordinary challenge to celebrate an remarkable milestone. We will be running 200 miles, with each lifeguard from our team covering a 5-mile leg from Costal Drive to New Brighton beach and back. This will be a continuous relay over approximately 48 hours, starting 0700 on Monday, 2nd September.

Why We Need Your Support:

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) has been saving lives at sea since 1824. This incredible organisation relies on the dedication and bravery of volunteers and the generosity of the public. Over the past 200 years, the RNLI has saved countless lives, all thanks to ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Now, as we celebrate this remarkable milestone, we need your help to ensure that the RNLI can continue its lifesaving work for many more years to come.

Our Challenge:

Event: 200-Mile Relay Run

When: Starting at 0700 on Monday, 2nd September 2024

Where: Harrison Drive to New Brighton beach and back

How: Each lifeguard will run a 5-mile stretch, passing a rescue tube to the next runner in a continuous relay for approx. 48 hours.
