Story
We as a group of homes have seen what it is like for people who live with dementia everyday, we nurture and care for them in every way we can.
It is hard to watch on as their lives become more challenging but we try as hard as we can to help make it easier for them, i personally had a grandparent that was diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's and it was heartbreaking.
To raise money to help the fight to cure this heartbreaking illness so that our children/grandchildren may have a better future and never have to worry if one day they will get the news that they have been diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's.
Dementia is the UKs biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and currently there is no cure. We know it is scary but we must confront the biggest health & social care challenge of our time. We owe it to the 900,000 people across the UK currently living with dementia to campaign for change, whilst providing vital day-to-day support. By taking part and raising money, or donating to someone who is, you are helping to do this.
Once you donate, JustGiving sends your money directly to Alzheimer's Society you don't need to do anything and it's the most efficient way to fundraise. So, who will you walk for? #MemoryWalk
