Run Hereford is Herefordshire's premier multi-discipline running event covering Half Marathon, 10K and 5K - this year with exciting NEW routes!

Story

🏃‍♂️ Chris & Alex are Running for St Michael’s Hospice! 🏃‍♀️

What started as a casual “maybe we should start running again” moment has turned into full-blown half marathon training! Over the past few months, we’ve been pushing ourselves - sometimes separately, sometimes together - cheering each other on through PBs and brutal hill climbs (350m elevation, we’re looking at you 👀).

Now, with Race Day in May approaching fast, we’re taking on Run 2025 to raise money for St Michael’s Hospice, Hereford - an incredible charity providing compassionate care for those who need it most. 💙

🏅 Our Goals?

➡️ Chris: Aiming to smash a sub-2-hour half marathon! ⏱️

➡️ Alex: Taking on their first ever half marathon and aiming for under 2 hours 20! 🎉

Before this, Alex’s longest race was a 10k (last year’s St Michael’s Run Hereford event!), so this is a huge step up, and for Chris, he's determined to beat the two-hour mark after 12 years off competitive running and choosing eating over exercise for too long! We’ve been training hard, keeping each other accountable, and celebrating the wins - big and small.

💪 How You Can Help?

Every donation, big or small, keeps us motivated through the training runs, early alarms, and post-run DOMS. If you can, please support us—and if not, a cheer, share, or a Strava Kudos means the world!

We’ll be keeping this page updated with our progress, so stay tuned for training highs, lows, and possibly some questionable running selfies 📸
