Story
As you may or may not know, my wonderful wife was hit with MS in 2017 whilst being treated for a different illness. Multiple Sclerosis is one of those things that hits different people in different ways, and with varying degrees of severity. Charmaine is unfortunately in constant pain, falls over regularly, and this means generally we have undergone a complete sea change in how we live.
The Bedford MS Therapy Centre provides her with some respite, some rehabilitation, the chance to get some exercise and support and to be amongst people who understand what she's going through and who always help her. That helps put a smile back on her face, and that's worth the world to me.
They don't just look after people with MS. The centre say
"The range of high-quality therapies that we provide to the MS community are similarly beneficial for people living with other conditions such as Parkinson’s and stroke recovery, where talking to other local and national charities has identified a real need due to lack of provision elsewhere."
So I'm now going to do my first charity fundraiser. If you or one of your loved ones is affected by MS or Parkinson’s, please spread the word about the great work the centre does and help me raise enough to run the centre for another day. Thank you so much.
