Story
Steve and I have signed up to join the London Walk 2024.
We will be walking an overnight marathon (26.2 miles) through London alongside representatives of homeless charities from across the city.
Walking through the night offers an opportunity for reflection on the experience of people who are homeless. Not just people who are forced to sleep on the streets but those who walk through the night, travel on night buses or access 24 hour retail sites in order to stay awake and stay safe. In particular young people, trans people and women, who are all especially vulnerable to violence and exploitation.
We are fundraising for Spires, our local homeless shelter based in Streatham that supports vulnerable people in our community and across South London.
Find out more about the incredible and vital work Spires does including support for rough sleepers, refugees and womens outreach services.
Please help us support them if you are able.
