Story

Thank you so much for visiting our JustGiving page. We’re raising money for Pilgrims Hospices by taking on the 100 mile Cycle Challenge on Sunday 5th May 2024.

Wendy Allen was the Mother of five children who were all close friends with our family and who recently died very young at 64 years old. The reason we are asking you to support Pilgrims Hospice is that all terminal care patients are allotted the assistance of the hospice who then assist and support the family in the final few months making sure each patient has the best care available. Without them, Oliver, Wendy’s husband said he could not have been able to negotiate a ‘calm’ path forward and be reassured he was making the correct decisions. Pilgrims Hospice had his back and allowed Wendy a peaceful death, where she wanted to be at home with her family.

Pilgrims deliver skilled and compassionate end-of-life care, free of charge, to thousands of people in east Kent every year. Your support is appreciated and so important to enable this great charity to continue their work, thank you.
