Story
I am raising money for the amazing hospice that supported my mum with her final journey.
In August 2023, our lives were changed following my mum’s diagnosis with pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately due to its stage, treatment was limited.
Over the course of seven months, she battled hard and made sure she enjoyed her final period of life. Throughout March 2024, she spent a lot of time at St Wilfrids, who treated her with absolute dignity and allowed us as a family the time needed to say goodbye.
Although we only had a short time with mum, St Wilfrids made that time really count. I am raising money to ensure others can receive this care in the future.
I will be taking part in their annual moonlight walk alongside my partner, Caroline. It is a 10 mile walk around Chichester, alongside many others, to increase awareness of the great work this hospice does for the local community. The event is on the 15th of June 2024.
Any donation made will make a huge difference to the lives of people suffering with life limiting illnesses in the future.
