My name is Dewi Owen and I have registered to compete in the Llanelli Triathlon on Sunday May 11th and by doing so I aim to raise £1000 for the Chemotherapy Unit at Prince Philip hospital Llanelli.My father John Owen has been successfully treated at the Unit for the last 14 and a half years. He was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma which is a type of blood cancer on July 1st 2010 and is currently receiving treatment at the Unit every other Thursday for the foreseeable future. Without the hard work and dedication of the doctors and nurses of the Chemotherapy Unit many patients including my father would not be with us today.
