Prostate cancer will affect one in eight white men, one in four black men, and those odds are cut in half for anyone who has a history of the condition in their family. The noble men and women of Prostate cancer UK give their blood, sweat and tears in striving to tackle the cruel disease that has derailed so many lives, but their research can only do so much without help. That’s where we come in! In recognition of a worthy cause and in memory of those we’ve lost, Martin C. Johnson and Will McAndrew will walk from Tynemouth to Hexham and back again over the course of two days, seeing many of the wonderful sights and interesting people that the North-east has to offer. We intend to raise at least £1000 for Prostate cancer UK, record our journey as we progress and otherwise share a few laughs through a pleasant adventure across the back of beyond, so why not skip your next night out, save £20 quid from your next pay slip and give it to a cause that will help plenty of us stupid blokes in years to come.
