Story
In May I will be setting out on a 100 mile trek over four days alongside my Dad from Hereford to Rhossili, starting near Hereford SAS camp, crossing the Brecon Beacons and finishing at Mums favourite place to visit - the worms head at Rhossili on the Gower peninsula.
I will be doing this in memory of Mum, to help raise money for St. Michael’s Hospice Hereford who provided care for her on a couple of occasions and in her last few weeks.
We lost Mum on 19th January this year after battling with various health problems over a long period of time. Mum had an infectious personality - the type that you would want to be around all the time. She was a kind, caring person, an amazing listener and close friend to so many.
I cannot speak highly enough of the care that was provided by st. Michael’s, they did everything possible to help make the last few weeks comfortable for both mum and us as a family, going out of their way too arrange a blessing ceremony and also for mum to have her first tattoo which she had been wanting for some time! The level of care was exceptional and we were extremely lucky to have been able to have mum in the hospice and for that reason I wanted to give something back to them.
I would really appreciate any donations, however small to support this amazing charity which we are so lucky to have in Herefordshire.
