We Fund Epidermolysis Bullosa Research to find treatments and ultimately a cure

Story

On November 24th I will be running the Florence Marathon for Abe Hersham the son of my dear and inspirational friends Tash and Alex. I will be raising awareness and funds for Cure EB through the Abe Fund.

Abe was born on the 9th of April 2023 with Dystrophic EB.

Despite the challenges he faces, Abe shows incredible resilience on a daily basis. His infectious, knowing smile and deeply loving spirit have touched the hearts of everyone around him. His journey has brought to light the daily struggles of those living with EB, inspiring us to rally behind him in support.

Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a rare skin condition which causes internal and external blisters at the slightest friction, as well as skin loss, sores, open wounds. Even a gust of wind could cause an abrasion to ones eye and eventually lead to a loss of sight. The battle for those with EB and their families is a daily and constant one.

Cure EB and the Abe Fund focus on changing the lives and brightening the future of all those affected by EB through research into treatments and a cure for the condition. Tash and Alex’s involvement in this vital research has been nothing less than remarkable and I feel fortunate to be able to contribute in this small way.

Thank you for your generosity and support.

All donations to this fundraiser will go toward the Abe Fund within Cure EB.
