We care for retired and rescued horses to give them a chance at life

Story

Inspired by going to watch the London Marathon last month, seven-year-old William has decided to run from Southbourne to Sandbanks, along the full length of the Dorset beach - a total of seven miles.

He will be putting on his trainers to raise money for his chosen charity, The Horse Trust, and will be running with toy pony Billy Marmite on his back, trying to reach his goal!

Any support will be very gratefully received (especially from his mum who will have to attempt to keep up with him...), thank you, Jen and William x

About The Horse Trust:

For over 130 years we have specialised in providing retirement and respite for working horses and ponies. Today these hard-working equine public servants are likely to have served our nation in the Police, the Army or with charities which use horses to help people. We also provide sanctuary to horses, ponies and donkeys who have suffered from cruelty or neglect and who are in desperate need of specialist treatment and care. At our Home of Rest for Horses we demonstrate best practice and deliver professional training in horse care and welfare.
