Story
Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends are facing a health crisis, yet its rarely talked about. Men are dying too young. We cant afford to stay silent.
Some of you may know that I have struggled with my own mental health in the past, so this is a cause that is very close to my heart.
As men, we need to understand that opening up and speaking to one another is just a normal thing and that it shouldn't be stigmatised as a sign of weakness. Whether it's a phone call, walk in the park, over a pint during the Liverpool game (when we inevitably win the league), finding anyway to check in on your mates and make sure they're ok could help so much.
Personally, running has been a massive force for change in my life. I feel fitter and healthier, but overall my mental health has drastically improved and I wanted to use this opportunity now that I am in a good head space to raise money and help provide resources for those in need.
