Story
On the 13th April, I’ll be running Marathon Des Sables, considered by Google as one of the most challenging Ultra Marathons in the world.
The event involves 6 stages, 7 days, 252km and 2.8k elevation across the Sahara desert. Across the 7 days I must carry everything I need for the event: food, clothes, medical supplies, sleeping bag and other luxuries I deem worthy enough to carry for 7 days.
I’ve been training in all of the elements involved: sand, heat, a rucksack full of dumbbells and big hills. Unfortunately being based in the rolling English hills and coming out of a cold and wet winter has meant that I’ve not been able to do all of them together but that’s ok, it’ll be a steep learning curve.
If you are feeling generous, it would mean the world if you could part with some of your hard earned money to support the great charity NSPCC.

Godspeed.
The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. We help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.
Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse
That’s why we’re here. That's what drives all our work. And that’s why – as long as there’s abuse – we will fight for every childhood.
