Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be walking 26 miles on the 22nd of September with some friends and colleagues at Sowerbys.
I will be raising money for the mental health charity Mind. This is a cause very close to my heart as in 2018 I lost my brother Sam to suicide.
Sam was one of those people who could light up any room, he was annoyingly good looking, charming and always made people laugh. He was my younger brother and seemingly had everything, he was someone who I looked up to and admired.
Unfortunately Suicide rates continue to increase year on year in the uk, and I want to provide more awareness of the importance of talking about mental health and knowing there are charities like Mind who are providing such important support to those struggling.
Your support and donation would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Will
Supporting the local community continues to be at the forefront of Sowerbys ethos and to celebrate our 30th year we are making a charity donation for every home we sell throughout 2024.
In addition, many members of the team are undertaking their own challenges to support these causes and we look forward to cheering them along and offering them support in their endeavors.
Our chosen charities, carefully selected to cover a range of vital community services, are:
Nelson's Journey - supporting children and young people in Norfolk who’ve experienced the death of a significant person.
St Martins Housing Trust - helping the homeless build a better life in Norwich and Norfolk.
The Big C - a local, people-first charity committed to providing outstanding cancer support.
Mind - Norfolk and Waveney - the mental health charity which believes no one should face a mental health problem alone.
East Anglian Air Ambulance - your local life-saving charity covering Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and Bedfordshire.
