Shakespeare Marathon for Stroke Association

Shakespeare Marathon & Half Marathon · 21 April 2024 ·
In July 2020, I had a Stroke. When a Stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly, and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
Because I was always fit and active, running was important to me. Getting out of the house was great, and the dog really helped me as I started my recovery.
The Stoke Association gave me lots of support. I have run a couple of Half-Marathons since having the Stroke; however, running a Marathon will be much harder.
