130 miles for Flo, Mary, Alan and the Alzheimer's Society

Walking Anglesey · 9 September 2024
In 2018, I spent 40 days and 40 nights walking just over 500 miles of the Wales Coastal Path in honour of my nan, Florence Conroy, who sadly passed away after suffering with Alzheimer's.
The reason for walking around Wales was inspired by childhood memories of nan taking me to visit different seaside towns - usually a surprise trip after school with a bag of sweets for the drive - and the coastal path naturally routes through a lot of those same places.
Unfortunately I had to bypass a few sections of the 870-mile route in 2018 due to time and injury, so I'm returning to cover off some more—this time 130 miles around Anglesey in 10-12 days.
It's a continued tribute to my nan and also in memory of Alan Pearlman (my friend Mischa's dad, who also sadly passed due to the disease) and Mary Henvey, my great aunt, and in aid of the Alzheimer's Society.
Any donations are welcome and hugely appreciated. As usual, if I don't complete the 130 miles, I will personally refund your donation.
