Story
Our Deputy Head, Mr Austin, is leaving Westfield this summer after 26 years - including one of those as Acting Headteacher. Countless thousands of former pupils will have memories of Mr Austin and Westfield won't be the same without him.
Mr Austin is leaving sooner than he would have liked, in order to spend more time at home to care for his wife who has been diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s disease.
We felt a fitting tribute we could make as a school community would be for the whole school to take part in a sponsored walk along the Thicket on Monday 17th July to raise funds for The Alzheimer's Society.
The Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, they will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
Thank you for any support you can show in appreciation of Mr Austin's 26 amazing years!
