Moving for Mental Health - Doctors in Distress Fundraiser
Fundraising for Doctors in Distress
Fundraising for Doctors in Distress
This year for Mental Health Awareness Week Wesleyan is challenging it's colleagues to complete 1 million steps in 10 days starting on the first day of Mental Health Awareness Week on the 13th May.
Groups of 5-10 people are aiming to complete 1 million steps, for each team that completes the challenge, Wesleyan will donate £100 to Doctors in Distress.
We would love it for you to also sponsor our teams for their efforts by donating to this fundraising campaign.
About Doctors in Distress
Shockingly, in the UK alone, one doctor dies by suicide every three weeks, and one nurse every week. These numbers underpin the urgent need for mental health resources and support within the healthcare community.
Doctors in Distress provide initiatives to promote and protect the mental health of all health workers through a range of free programmes. This is why Wesleyan are supporting #5KInMay with our own walking challenge.
* Charities pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
