Earlier this year I lost my very good friend and colleague Paul Blakeley to suicide.

Paul and I had entered the Cardiff half marathon. We'd chatted about the race, and about how his training was going and I was really looking forward to sharing the day with him.

I'll be running the race in Paul's memory.

Paul was hilarious, thoughtful, creative, brilliant at his job, interesting, witty, kind of a tech-savant (especially obsolete calculators), and could do a perfect Alan Partridge impression.
