Story
In 1983, IPSEA was set up to support parents and carers who wanted mainstream placements for their children with special educational needs. Today, IPSEA is the leading charity in England helping children and young people with all kinds of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to get the support, education, and training opportunities they are entitled to under the law.
Over the past four decades, through tireless advocacy and continually developing our services, IPSEA has transformed the lives of tens of thousands of children and young people with SEND. They have grown and developed their expertise to help give children and young people with SEND the opportunity to achieve their potential.
To raise money for IPSEA I’m taking on #Challenge 40 and walking 40k in one day on 27 August 2023. This will be the furthest I have walked in one go by far! I’m hoping to raise funds to help more families as well as encourage people to consider volunteering for IPSEA.
By taking on #Challenge40 to mark IPSEA's 40th anniversary I will be helping to help protect, promote and uphold the rights and entitlements of children and young people with SEND. Funds raised through my challenge will help IPSEA to train an estimated 50 new volunteers through 2023.
