Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

There are currently 80 Young Carers on the East Hants Young Carers programme, living throughout East Hampshire.

About The King’s Arms: The East Hants Young Carers Programme is part of The King’s Arms Youth Project (KA), a charity that works to support the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of young people.

The team at The King's Arms provide supportive sessions for the young carers and when the time comes, help them to consider their future path – maybe college and university and the conflicting emotions that brings. Each session, the young carers share a meal together and talk about their week, sometimes learning to bake or cook. They have the opportunity to mix with other young people across East Hants who are in a similar situation to themselves – others who really get what it’s like to be a young carer.

My Marathons:

On February 23rd, I will be taking on the Big Mud Meon Valley Marathon - my first winter marathon and definately the hilliest! It includes a 500ft climb up Butser Hill and then an undulating, muddy journey across the Meon Valley.

The TCS London Marathon My Way - on the 27th April I will be running the virtual London Marathon, around Alton and the surrounding villages. Starting and finishing at the Kings Arms Centre in Alton.

The Maverick X Series South Downs Trail Marathon - on the 28th June I will return to the South Downs for this challenging trail race with all the hills. Hopefully less mud for this marathon but possibly the heat of the summer sun!

Please support me if you can on these epic endurance challenges and help me fundraise as much as possible to continue the amazing work for our young carers.

Your funding will help to provide a safe space for them to be young people and have fun without the challenges and stresses that their home life brings.
