Story
Whitehill & Bordon Community Trust are delighted to be working with the AMEA for the 3rd year.
The Charity Walk for Peace is now "Beacon of Peace" and was founded in the service of humanity, rooted in the call of duty and substantiated by our mission actuated not by consideration of reciprocity or reputation but rather our desire to win the pleasure of God through service to his creation. Our aim is to relieve the suffering of the poor, to promote peace, understanding and good will amongst people of all walks of life.
As a local charity in Hampshire we take part in this amazing event to help raise money for our local charities. Every year money raised regionally is distributed to local charities. The funds we have received have been used to plant trees and hedgerows in Whitehill & Bordon.
What has been donated so far by the AMEA.
To date, over £8.9 million has been distributed to over 600 UK registered charities. A number of regional charity events are organised throughout the UK culminating with the annual event organised to benefit various charities that provide practical help and support to vulnerable people.
This year we are raising for New Hospitals in Africa, Orphan care, water pumps, eye operations, solar kits as well as many deserving charities in the UK.
