Waterloo Region Friends of Palestine (WRFP) has partnered with IDRF, one of the top 100 charities in Canada, to raise funds in support of emergency relief for the people of Palestine.

The Waterloo Region Friends of Palestine (WRFP) is holding an event titled Unthinkable: Gaza One Year Later. Through this event, we are gathering to observe the crisis one year later, share in our grief, seeing hope and continuing to stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza.

Our goal is to raise $5000 for humanitarian projects, demonstrating support and a commitment to a meaningful cause. Join us to make a difference, inspire, and change the lives of many.

The Situation

As the crisis worsens, we have witnessed urgent developments continue to unfold in Gaza, demanding immediate attention. More than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 90,000 are injured along with 1.9 million people displaced. Millions of people are severely food insecure and are suffering from starvation, water scarcity, and an immense lack of basic necessities.

As the country continues to grapple with overcrowded hospitals and an alarming shortage of medical supplies, the people of Gaza are in desperate need of your emergency support.

How is IDRF helping?

In response to the dire circumstances in Palestine, IDRF is actively engaged in providing vital assistance and relief. Our dedicated team is on the ground, tirelessly working to ensure that those affected have access to essential resources. We are currently providing regular hot meals, food parcels, fresh produce, and clean water supply.

Your contributions will provide a family with a crucial emergency kit, including essential first aid supplies, medical resources, and vital food aid.
