He’s here, he’s there, he’s walking everywhere!

Leicester City legend Steve Walsh and friends will be walking across the beautiful Bradgate Park in aid of Community Mental Health Advocacy across Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland

Steeped in history, teeming with locally scarce wildlife, 600 deer, and some of the oldest in situ fossils in the UK, Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood comprises 1,200 acres of heritage rich landscape for appreciation and enjoyment across generations. Commonly known as the childhood home of Lady Jane Grey the park is home to the ruins of one of the most important country houses in Tudor England and the famous Old John Tower landmark.

You can join Walshy and other legends walking the 4 miles from the Newtown Linford Car Park to the Hallgates Entrance and back with a quick stop for refreshments at the Deer Barn Cafe. The route will all be paved and suitable for Wheelchairs and pushchairs.

If you would like to join Walshy on the walk we would please ask that a minimum £15 donation is made via the link below to cover additional costs to the charity.

About the charity

Mental Health is complex. Our advocacy work involves, listening, guiding, planning, supporting and ensuring their needs are properly considered. Mental Health cannot be ‘cured’ with one conversation, it takes time to form trust. Our advocates devote hours, days, months to provide the best support.
