Story
My name is Naomi Brosnan and on the 21st of April I will be walking 100k steps in a day to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society.
At the age of 17 I was diagnosed with stage 4 burkitt's lymphoma which is a type of leukaemia (blood cancer). The day I was diagnosed I became an inpatient for 5 months in Cork university hospital where I received intensive chemotherapy treatment, lumbar punctures with chemo into the spine as the cancer had spread to the fluid around my brain. I lost my hair and the ability to walk for several months.
Luckily, today I am 8 years in remission and it would mean the world to me to be able to raise money for the Irish cancer society and give back to them because they were there for me during the hardest time in my life
Unfortunately, nowadays everybody knows someone who's been affected by cancer one way or another and we’re lucky to have such a great organisation that can help someone and their family during their time of need.
Anything you are able to donate will be greatly appreciated , every red cent counts ❤️
All proceeds will be donated to the Irish Cancer Society.
